Where Trinidad & Tobago ranks in road fatalities

The graph above from the IDB and the Asociacion Espanola de la Carreterra shows that the number of road fatalities per 100,000 inhabitants decreased in 2013 to 14.4 from 15.5 in 2009. The highest in the Caribbean is the Dominican Republic and the safest drivers in the region are from Barbados.
Trinidad and Tobago for both periods studied is barely below the average for Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2013, there were 193 road fatalities in T&T, down from 207 in 2013.
